We had a dining night at the Q last week and had a fabulous experience there. We highly recommend lemongrass Snapper, it has very special taste I can find nowhere!!!!! Plus, their having-with sauces are all delicious and unique. Love their deserts menu as well. Like the vibe and the way all the staff communicate with others. We will be back in the near future to taste all the menu!! ๐ซถ๐ป

The pho is rich and comforting, soft shell crab is perfect for trying a bit of everything. The atmosphere is modern yet relaxed, making it suitable for both casual meals and small group catch-ups. Service is friendly, attentive, and efficient, even during busy periods. Portions are generous and reasonably priced, which adds to the overall value. This elegant spot elevates traditional Vietnamese flavors to fine-dining heights, and our recent meal was nothing short of exquisite โ every dish a masterpiece of balance, freshness, and innovation. We savored some standout dishes that perfectly showcased the menu's brilliance: Kingfish Crudo: Silky slices of kingfish paired with vibrant green mango salad, pickles, micro herbs, and a zesty green chilli dressing. It was incredibly fresh and light, with bright acidity cutting through beautifully โ a perfect starter that awakened the palate. Wagyu Beef Betel Leaf (Lรก Lแปt): Grilled premium Wagyu wrapped in fragrant betel leaves, served with fresh herbs, scallion truffle oil, peanut sauce, and crushed peanuts. The smoky, aromatic wrap combined with the tender, juicy beef was addictive โ bold Vietnamese street-food vibes refined to perfection. Salted Egg Yolk Crab: Crispy soft-shell crab tossed in that rich, golden salted egg yolk sauce โ creamy, savory, indulgent, with just the right mild spice. It was decadent and finger-licking good! Crispy Pork Belly Platter: Five-spice crispy pork belly, perfectly crackling on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth tender inside, served as a DIY platter with fluffy bao, pickled daikon, chilli mayo, and sweet soy. Pure comfort elevated to luxury โ we couldn't get enough! The entire meal was exquisite, with premium ingredients shining through in every bite. The sophisticated yet welcoming ambiance โ think stylish interiors with a nod to Saigon streets โ made it ideal for a special evening. Service was fantastic: warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, guiding us effortlessly and ensuring everything was flawless. The Q Dining is a shining gem in Canberra's dining scene, blending authentic Vietnamese soul with modern finesse. Highly recommended โ we'll be returning very soon!
Itโs hard to find a vietnamese restaurant with a fine dinning vibe but still keep the authentic flavour in Australia and The Q dining really has it all. We had such a amazing dinner yesterday at the Q and the banh xeo was outstanding and unique. Definitely one of the best meal we had in 2025.
We had dinner at The Q in Phillip last Saturday night with close friends and family, and it was one of the best dining experiences weโve had in a while. We started with the Scallops Royale, Wagyu Beef โla Lotโ, and Banh Xeo Tacos โ all amazing, but the scallops stole the show with a perfect mix of flavour and texture, possibly sitting on a base of sticky rice and omelette that just worked so well. The banh xeo tacos were another highlight โ fresh, crispy, and full of flavour. For mains, we tried a bit of everything โ Qโs Wagyu Beef Pho, Chicken Ragout, Saigon Roasted Chicken, Five-Spice Crispy Pork Belly Platter, Char-Grilled Wagyu Steak with Chimichurri, and Lemongrass Chilli Baked Snapper. Every dish was beautifully presented, perfectly portioned, and absolutely delicious. We finished with the Caramel Coffee Flan and Tao Pho (Sweet Silken Bean Curd) โ both light, smooth, and a great way to end the meal. The space is modern and cosy, and the staff were fantastic, always attentive, topping up drinks and clearing plates with a smile. Everything felt seamless from start to finish. A very big shoutout to Ben for being an excellent host and helping us with menu recommendations. Highly recommend The Q for anyone looking for modern Vietnamese food done right. Weโll definitely be back!
