Had to write a review for this pub… Whilst it looked very humble from the roadside, we were immediately welcomed in and told that they would open up the toy shed for our kids (game changer with little ones iykyk!), even turned the cricket on in the cosy beer garden for my partner then a few minutes later, they blew up a little inflatable which the kids loved. The hospitality was already setting the tone, then the food came out and tbh I think I had the best Parma I’ve ever had in Australia. Crunchy breadcrumbs, crispy fresh chips and a lovely salad dressed to perfection. We’ll 100% go back to this pub when we next visit, for the food, hospitality and the lovely beer garden.

The McIvor is one of those hidden gems very good food with generous portions the porterhouse steak, I had was huge, I asked for well done and it was done to perfection, great chips not to oily, the other meals were equally as satisfying I was told. The Staff and owners? were friendly and very helpful and they support locals with fund raising as well many thanks folks. unfortunately the buildings age and character means no Accessible loo, however the dining and bar and outside area is accessible from the rear. An excellent spot if Seinfeld floats your boat as it is on the big screen and nice memorabilia on the wall. Thank you folks at McIvor for a very pleasant experiance. Regards Kevin

Out of towners looking for a nice feed….found this place via high Google ratings, and didn’t disappoint. From the moment we walked in via the front public bar, the young female who served us was warm, friendly and attentive. Great start! My wife ordered one of their signature cocktails which she loved, then it was time for the meals. Entree of cheesy garlic bread, mains of Salt & Pepper calamari and Surf & Turf porterhouse was amazing! Both cooked to perfection and the steak was huge!! Cosy, intimate old-school pub vibes, relaxed atmosphere, great food and amazing staff - made our night. Thank you McIvor Pub…..will be back.

Very cosy place to go and have a feed and a beer. The open fires were great as the day was freezing outside. Look forward to trying the food next time.

By far the best Parmas in Bendigo! Both came out cooked to perfection, the crumb especially was amazing. Reminded me of a good old home cooked meal made with love. Customer service was outstanding and traditional old school table service. Couldn’t recommend enough, think we found our new local. Hats off to the new owners and keep up the outstanding hospitality
