We had a great meal (2 adults and 2 kids). There was a bit of a wait for a table but they had a nice efficient system with buzzers. Food was really yummy and the iPad made it really easy to order extra dishes. It was all very fresh. Would definitely go back.

This place runs like a fimepy tuned machine. Theres always a wait for a table, but the food is worth it. I've thought about what I'd do to improve the wait but think their system works well due to the fast turnaround. Short of moving to a larger venue I don't know what could be done. The food itself is some of the best sushi I've ever had. I highly recommend the Aburi Salmon Nigiri. They should become a franchise and open new locations. I'd love to be involved if it ever happens.

Have to say one of the most consistent Japanese Sushi places on the coast. Never been disappointed with food or service. 2 negative things A: Some sushi prices are to high at $5 every plate. B: get there early or you will find a line. Just wait for a table it is worth it

Hands down the best sushi in QLD. Every time we're at Gold Coast, my partner and I always make it a point to eat at Sushi Honba — it's our non-negotiable. I’m honestly wishing they open a branch in Brisbane someday (PLS 🥺). I’ve wondered if I might just be overhyping it, but every friend we've brought there ends up loving it too. And it’s not just us — the place is always packed at dinner time, with a waitlist more often than not. That says something AND the 4.80 per plate is 💯 Our all-time favourites? The Aburi selection is unmatched: Wagyu Beef Cheese Salmon Roll Scallop Roll Ebi Nigiri For sides, don’t even think twice — get the Salmon Skin and Chicken Karaage. Crunchy, juicy, full of flavour. Absolutely worth it. So yeah, if you're anywhere near the Gold Coast and love sushi, Sushi Honba is a must. Still dreaming of the day we get one in Brissy 🍣🙏🏻

Definitely one of the best sushi spots in all of Gold Coast. When you arrive and order your drinks, they’re on your table in under 30 seconds — a record! Your miso soup arrives in less than 2 minutes, and you have a train of delicious sushi running beside you, plus a tablet, and if you place an order, it arrives in under 5 minutes. Totally delicious, great service, fast, always clean, and very reasonably priced! Highly recommended.
