After driving past this unassuming venue I thought it was a food truck only so I was surprised when it came up after a google search for nearby restaurants. The venue is a large open industrial style vibe and service was exceptional. Food was top notch and fresh. We had the Moroccan lamb shoulder share plate special -which in hindsight would have been enough without entrees! But the menu offerings made it difficult to not try more than one dish.
We had a fantastic dining experience at the St Albi in Monah. The food was outstanding and beautifully executed. We started with the beef carpaccio, which was fresh, delicate and perfectly balanced. The arancini balls were cooked to perfection โ crisp on the outside with a rich, creamy centre โ and the crab pรขtรฉ was a real standout, smooth, flavoursome and indulgent without being heavy. The cocktails were just as impressive: well-crafted, balanced and clearly made with care, elevating the whole experience. A great spot for quality food and cocktails โ weโll definitely be back.
I had as a starter some absolutely delicious oysters, both natural and with soy & pickled ginger. For my main, I enjoyed a perfectly cooked medium-rare eye fillet topped with truffle butter, accompanied by a side of pumpkin, walnuts, and feta. To finish, I had a warm brownie with vanilla ice cream and berry compote, simply divine! All of the service staff were friendly, professional, and very attentive, which made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable! Very pleased to be dining in and to have enjoyed such a flawless meal and service! Highly recommended for couples, families, or groups of any size!
Very spacious and retro-industrial look is on point. The heating was a much welcome accompaniment; I even had to remove my coat half way through our meal. We were seated promptly and left for an appropriate amount of time to catch up with our dear friends. Drinks orders were taken and we were supplied with the specials of the day and the food menu. We ordered: ENTREE Seafood Chowder Lemon Pepper Squid Three Cheese Arancini MAINS Braised Beef & Bacon Pie with creamy mash, mushy peas & traditional gravy Slow Cooked Lamb Shank with blistered cherry tomatoes, spiced carrot puree, carrot chips & sauteed silverbeet Beef and Bacon Burger with albi mac sauce, american cheese, lettuce, sliced onions, dill pickles, fat chips & house ranch Signature Eye Fillet BAKER, 250gm eye fillet pocketed with shadows of blue cheese and duck fat potatoes and sauteed broccoli. Overall the holistic experience was above par. Great ambience, comfortable seating, extensive drinks menu, but not overdone with too many options. Prices were a little more than I expected, but it was quality food and service The only drawbacks - 2 1 - Seats were too close together, to the point where I could hear our neighbours conversations clearer than at our table 2- no acoustic buffering at all, so no good to anyone with hearing difficiencies or tinnitus. We'd go again, but for more of a special occasion opposed to my local drop-in.
St. Albi Bar & Eatery offers an impressive variety of dishes to suit all tastes, but the standout for us was definitely the steak. It was perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and full of flavour. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it an ideal spot to unwind with friends or enjoy a leisurely meal. Highly recommended for both food quality and vibe.
