We came here from Melbourne hoping to enjoy a good lunch after a long and tiring trip. Based on the online reviews, our expectations were quite high, but unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. To begin with, the service was very poor. No one came to take our order, and when I went to the counter myself, I was left waiting while the staff were inside arguing loudly with each other. They could clearly see me standing there, yet no one acknowledged me. The shouting and fighting from the kitchen continued throughout our visit and was loud enough to hear clearly from the dining area, making it impossible to enjoy a peaceful meal. We decided to continue anyway, hoping at least the food would be good, but that was another major letdown. The starters were unpleasant, and the creamy sauce tasted strange and off. For the mains, we ordered kadai mushroom and mixed vegetable sabji. The kadai mushroom contained only two very small pieces of mushroom in the entire dish, with the rest being just gravy. It’s hard to understand how this can be called a mushroom dish. The mixed vegetable sabji was equally disappointing. Despite the menu mentioning potatoes, peas, eggplant, and other vegetables, the dish only contained frozen carrots and nothing else. Overall, the reviews seem highly misleading, and based on our experience, they do not reflect the reality of this restaurant at all. The service, atmosphere, and food quality were all very poor. I will not be visiting again and would not recommend this place to anyone.

My new favorite Indian restaurant in Tasmania. Authentic Indian food. We tried the dahi puri for entree and 2 different curry dishes for main. A lot of flavor and big plates. The waitress was lovely and very nice ambiance. Perfect for a date night with good food. We will come back

Uninspiring vegetable thali ($15.99) which had meagre portions & didn't taste fresh & was ghee laden. I should of known what to expect when the garlic nan( $5.99) was described as being made with garlic granules , I was rather hoping it would be finished with fresh garlic ? The papadom was soft & didn't taste fresh. I dearly wanted to like this place & don't understand why it gets such good ratings but we won't be returning. As vegetarians we still haven't found anything to beat the Little Punjab in Moonah which for the same price does unlimited fresh thali dishes & parathas which leave you feeling energised rather than sleepy. The positives are the food came out quickly & the staff were friendly.

Deluxe thali for lunch was fabulous. Good portion size, was enough for 2 person. Chickpea curry, paneer curry, chicken curry, butter chicken with jeera rice, pappadum, pickle and gulab jamun. Raita was in the menu but missing from the thali. Taste of all the curries was so good, best in Hobart. Service was prompt, price is reasonable. Lots of options in the menu including veg.

The food was so delicious. The chole bhature was so good. Pure taste of Indian cuisine. Highly recommend for this place who likes Indian food. Having said that the service and atmosphere was incredible.
