Exceptional! The Maรฎtre d was across everything! Very lovely, well trained, warm and professional. Extremely aware of her staff and customers. Our waitress was also lovely. The food delicious. Atmosphere and vibe great. This is a restaurant in Townsville with truly consistent service and food.

I sat on this review for a week, debating whether or not to post it which honestly speaks volumes, because our evening began so beautifully that I truly wanted this experience to end on a high. My partner and I had booked dinner in advance and were warmly greeted by a lovely hostess who seated us inside at a stunning booth. The atmosphere was immediately inviting relaxed, elegant, and thoughtfully designed. It felt special without trying too hard, and we settled in feeling genuinely excited for the night ahead. Our waitress introduced herself, gave us a moment to explore the drinks menu, and returned promptly to take our order. I chose the frozen dragon fruit margarita, which was vibrant, refreshing, and beautifully balanced, while my partner ordered an apple cider. Drinks arrived quickly, and our waitress then walked us through the menu with care, explaining the pacing of the dishes and ensuring we understood how the experience would unfold. We ordered the scallops, crispy chicken tacos, and tostadas all of which were genuinely excellent. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, flavours well balanced, and beautifully complementary. It was one of those meals where every bite reinforces that you made the right choice coming here. This was an anticipated evening for us, and up until this point, it felt close to perfect. And then the chargrilled chicken arrived. I was particularly excited for this dish, as Iโ€™d never encountered Vegemite used in this way before and was genuinely looking forward to trying something creative and uniquely Australian. For context, the chicken arrived pre-sliced and boneless. We each tried an end piece my partner immediately commented on the texture, which gave me pause. When I took a piece from the centre, it was unmistakably raw. I completely understand that chicken thighs can retain a darker colour than chicken breast, but this was not a case of โ€œslightly pink.โ€ This was raw chicken. For obvious food safety reasons, we sent the dish back. What followed was, frankly, disappointing. The dish returned within two minutes, delivered by a different waitress whose manner was curt, dismissive, and unprofessional. We were told it was โ€œcooked close to the bone,โ€ that โ€œitโ€™s meant to be a little pink,โ€ and that they could โ€œcook it a bit longer if you want.โ€ The implication was clear the issue was ours, not the kitchenโ€™s. The same undercooked chicken was placed back in front of us and we were left sitting there, stunned. We refused to eat the dish, yet were still charged full price for it despite it being the most expensive item we ordered. To say Iโ€™m disappointed is an understatement. What began as a magical evening attentive service, exceptional starters, and a beautiful atmosphere ended with a serious lapse in food safety and an even more concerning response to a valid issue. Since then, weโ€™ve shown the photos to chefs, butchers, friends, family, and colleagues largely because we were so persistently gaslit into questioning what we could clearly see. Every single person confirmed the same thing: the chicken was undercooked. Iโ€™ve attached a photo so you can judge for yourself. This restaurant clearly has so much potential, which makes this outcome all the more frustrating. A mistake can happen how itโ€™s handled is what truly defines the experience. Unfortunately, in this case, it fell short.

Such a beautiful restaurant! Great, attentive service and food is always flavourful, hot and delicious! We were served in a booth perfect for catch ups and sharing food, very friendly staff were available all evening! Couldnโ€™t recommend a place more!

Straight to it...we were attracted by the brand, it looked the real deal. First dish out were the crispy chicken tacos, yum. Very tasty, Mexican though, I'm not sure. Second dish out were the crispy beef tacos, a fail. Please redesign this dish team, it lacks flavour, you need to lift this up. Third dish, crispy chicken, a winner ๐Ÿ†, redeemed. Great beverages selection, and your wait staff were charming and busy, which added to the ambience. You have nailed the decor and atmosphere ๐Ÿ‘, really appealing, and we walked from our hotel, especially to visit your restaurant and that part was worth it. Btw, the Dragonfruit Margarita packs a punch!

Had nice cocktails. The seating at the front was a bit noisy from the volume of the BGM but the service and the food was delicious. Went there for an early weekday dinner so when we arrived it wasn't busy, both food and drinks didn't take long including mains.
