We booked Pist4cchi last week using First Table before heading to a concert with friends. Just WOW! As part of the First Table conditions, we knew we’d be seated outdoors, which we were perfectly happy with (for anyone booking directly, there is indoor seating too). But Cairns being Cairns at this time of year, the weather decided to crank things up to “tropical sauna with bonus humidity.” We were undercover, but it did get a little airless… not enough to ruin a thing, just enough to make you wish they had a couple of fans to transform the vibe from “summer in Italy” to “Italian holiday where your hair still looks somewhat respectable.” That said… the food…. Oh. My. Goodness! Absolutely knockout! Every entrée, main and dessert was brilliant… not a single dud. And then there was the gnocchi… the gnocchi… words simply fail me here… I have NEVER had homemade fresh gnocchi that good (and trust me, I’ve eaten a LOT of gnocchi). Cloud soft, perfectly cooked, and the kind of dish that makes you wonder if it’s socially acceptable to lick the plate in public (both gnocchi dishes provided the same reaction). The cocktails were just as impressive. I ordered the Smurf… cold, sweet and fruity… I even went back for a second. Hubby was loving the extensive wine list and ordered an Italian red which tasted amazing (I passed on red wine after stealing a sip of his because on a night that warm, I would’ve simply melted into a puddle). All in all, Pist4cchi delivered a cracking start to our night out. Great food, great drinks… we’ll definitely be back!

After reading the reviews on Pist4cchi on Google Reviews, my friend and I were thoroughly impressed with how the restaurant stood up for itself against random one-star reviews. After all, one wouldn't stand up for their business if they didn't believe in what they created. So, we decded to go to Pist4cchi for our last night in Cairns. Everything about this restaurant was amazing. From the delicious food to the friendly, high quality service upon arrival. I decided to try the gnocchetto al Granchio and I was incredibly impressed with the rich flavours and crunchy texture. You could tell that all of the ingredients were fresh and each component was made with great detail. Pist4cchi also had a wonderful drink menu - I highly recommend the Moscato. For dessert I tried the Sfera al cioccolato. It was death by chocolate and I would gladly eat it again. The chocolate was rich with an audible crack when the sphere breaks away, the chocolate sauce was decadent and the pistachio gelato was exquisite. Pist4cchi is a high dinning restaurant, and I highly recommend for other Italian food lovers to pay them a visit. I hope that next time I'm in the area, I can try their gnocchi gorgonzola.

We felt looked after and appreciated as customers in this restaurant. The food was amazing! We were so full and happy when we left.

My partner and I came here earlier in the week and the food was incredible. It was the best gnocchi I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot of gnocchi). We both got an entree, main and dessert. I got the Sfera al cioccolato for dessert and it was delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone in Cairns! The staff were also lovely and were sure to check on any ingredients as I’m pregnant so there’s a lot I unfortunately can’t eat 😭

We had an amazingly good evening meal at Pist4cchi. The service was friendly and attentive; the staff are knowledgeable about the food and wine. We went for the Tablelands Mushroom Tagliatelle and the Gnochetto al Granchio. To be honest, we wanted to try everything on the menu, it’s wonderful. You won’t find the usual list of standard Italian restaurant dishes on their menu, it’s way more appealing and there’s something for everyone. Both of our dishes were exceptionally tasty and perfectly cooked. We also shared a lovely bottle of Kris 2023 Pinot Grigio. The other guests’ meals also looked amazing. Next time we are in Cairns we will definitely be back with big appetites to try more of the menu. Highly recommend!
