Nobu has a reputation for being one of the best โฆ and every thing was close to perfect. The service, the food, the enthusiasm of the staff. It was fantastic and worth a visit but still a little short: the steak was over cooked, the atmosphere not quite right because of the size of the restaurant and the mango sauce kept on being repeated. I wanted to like it more than I did.
Service and food were excellent, and we genuinely enjoyed the dishes we tried. The only aspect that wasnโt quite to my personal preference was the noise level. The atmosphere was much louder than I expected for a fine-dining settingโmore similar to a lively pub, with lots of conversation and laughter carrying across the room. Having dined at places such as Atrium, Epicurean, Silks and Bistro Guillaume, I found the ambience at those venues to be more relaxed and refined in comparison. If youโre seeking a quiet, romantic or tranquil dining experience, this may not be the ideal choice. However, if you enjoy a vibrant, energetic atmosphere paired with great food and attentive service, Nobu will definitely deliver.
Came with my good mate for lunch over the weekend. The place was nice and ambience was good for a busy weekend lunch. Our server was great and the pacing of dishes was up to expectations for a fine dining experience. The manager (in a suit) who hovered around looked aloof and disengaged but our interactions were fortunately minimal. On to the dishes! Nobu sunset mocktail - a very refreshing start for the palette. Yellowtail Jalapeรฑo - great starter, with a bit of acidity and fire to get the stomach juices flowing. Snow Crab Tempura Amazu Ponzu - highlight of the meal. Dish was nicely balanced by the crab roe, watermelon cubes and the light sauce. Classic bento with black cod miso - the highlight of the bento was the prawn tempura which was a delightful bite of food. The black cod was slightly overdone so no longer melt in your mouth. I suspect that a smaller portion in a bento vs a main course makes it harder to control the cook but still I take a point off for a highly acclaimed item. The sashimi selection was great. Cape Grim โGrass Fedโ Rib Eye - perfectly medium rare in presentation and very flavorful, especially with the nicely roasted coat of truffle infused crumbs. Not sure if the mushroom was the right accompanying side. It could be the texture of this particular cut of beef but I was not blown away by this dish. Overall, it was a very delicious eat and I enjoyed it very much. It's perhaps not as refined in presentation as I had expected.
I dined at Nobu Perth on my last night visiting from Melbourne and it was the perfect way to end my trip. The food was absolutely incredible and the service was just as impressive. Emily behind the bar was so warm, accommodating, and genuinely lovely, she made the whole experience feel special and made me some killer cocktails. The atmosphere and vibes were spot-on too. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Perth!
Was recommended by a lot of people to eat here. A good friend brought me here for dinner. And I know why itโs recommended by many after trying. The Japanese food was awesome and it was very fresh. My favourite would be the Cod fish, itโs so soft and tender, melts in your mouth. In terms of pricing, it could be pricey but definitely worthwhile to pamper yourself once in a while.
