We visited Kost Bar & Grill in Broadbeach and were really impressed with the setting from the moment we arrived. The ambience was perfect — a beautiful coastal vibe with décor that easily deserves five stars. We sat in the outdoor heated area and it was spot on: comfortable, warm, and the lighting was perfectly designed — soft, flattering, and relaxing. Service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly, which we appreciated. The dishes, however, were a little hit and miss. The bread with smoked garlic butter was beautiful, the scallops had great flavour, and the chicken was really good — juicy, tasty, and well cooked. The steak tartare was okay, though not particularly memorable. The octopus unfortunately was quite chewy and definitely didn’t feel cooked well. The cocktails were strong, but not very well balanced. Dessert — a play on a Ferrero Rocher — was nice and a fun finish. Overall, it was still a great night out. The ambience was the true standout, more so than the food. With that setting and service, there’s a lot to love — and with a bit more consistency from the kitchen, it could easily be exceptional.

Such a wonderful night for my partner birthday ! All the dishes we’ve tried are fresh and more importantly, delicious. Give a try at the Pork Tomahawk you will remember it for a long time. The signature cocktails are just perfection, you cannot get wrong. Big shout-outs to the bar team that does an amazing job. Thanks to all the team for this incredible experience. 20/10

Service, excellent! The knowledge the staff had of the menu was valuable and really helped in assisting with my choices of food and drink. The small details were so nice too, like the option to dress your table water with, lemon, lime, cucumber. Food was exceptional and the cocktails blew me away! The Almalfi was my favorite.

We had a great dinner at Kost Bar & Grill, the food was top notch and really well put together. We ordered the Australian Bay Lobster with Mooloolaba King Prawns, which was super fresh and perfectly cooked. The Hibachi Grilled Lamb Skewer with had amazing flavour, and the Black Angus Striploin was juicy and had that classic smoky, charred taste. The sides were just as impressive, the Blackened Hispi Cabbage was surprisingly delicious with the pistachio and lemon, the Potato Mash with Burnt Butter was rich and smooth, and the Grilled Broccolini and Zucchini with lemon vinaigrette added a nice fresh touch. Only small downside was that the ambience felt a bit too dark, it looked great but made it a little hard to see the food properly. Still, overall it was an excellent experience and definitely worth a visit if you’re after quality food and great flavours.

The oysters, scallops, and grilled octopus — all cooked to perfection. And I’ve never tasted cabbage so tasty before! It’s the kind of dish that surprises you in the best way. The cocktails are just as impressive — easily the best I’ve had locally.
