Upon walking, was greeted with great service. Food was delicious, authentic, and tasted very fresh. Would definitely recommend to others and also return! ๐
Great service, food was amazing and well presented. Different options than a lot of the other Korean restaurants in town. Loved our meal and will definitely go again. I also loved that they had a good selection of vegan/vegetarian options
Kornerd feels like the kind of place you stumble into once and end up returning to every other week. Itโs a modern, pared-back space with warm lighting that cuts through the industrial vibe, making it instantly comfortable. The menu leans into familiar Korean comfort food without overcomplicating things โ hearty soups, rich stews, crunchy fried chicken, and the usual favourites done with care. Thereโs a clear sense that the kitchen actually cares about what theyโre putting out. On my visit, I went for the galbitang and a spicy stew, both served piping hot in traditional stone bowls. The broth was clean and full of depth, the beef tender, and the banchan simple but thoughtful. Everything came out quickly, and the staff were genuinely friendly โ the kind that check in on you without hovering. Prices are surprisingly fair for the quality, especially considering how generous the portions are. Itโs the sort of spot where you can drop in for a quick solo meal or settle in with mates for something warm and satisfying. Kornerd isnโt trying to reinvent Korean food โ itโs just doing it well. And honestly, thatโs exactly why Iโll be back.
Excellent food and excellent service!! My fiance brought me here for my birthday and they made it such a lovely experience. So delicious and family orientated. Thank you to the wonderful staff we will definitely be back!
Kornerd โ Korean Comfort with a Modern Pulse This sleek, modern eatery is the latest venture from owners who not only bring warmth but clearly care about food and service. Kornerd expands on their earlier offerings with a larger menu, presented in a casual yet elegant style. Lunch gravitates toward speed and convenience โ rice bowls and fried chicken dominate, geared for value without sacrificing flavour. Dinner shifts gears into breadth: jjigae, classics like bibimbap, and playful fusion such as kimchi pizza. Itโs going to take me some time to eat my way around this menu. I first tried a spicy pork rice bowl during their soft opening lunch. For their inaugural dinner service, we opted for mandu guk and fried chicken. Service was friendly, polite, and highly efficient, with wellโpresented staff who carried the room confidently. The atmosphere is industrial and moody, softened by warm lighting that makes the space inviting. Pricing is very reasonable given the quality and attentiveness. With food that balances comfort staples and modern pulse, Kornerd is certain to become one of my regular haunts.
