Such a hidden gem in the city! Tucked away in a laneway, Khaosan Thai really feels like eating street food in Thailand. We had the seafood salad, beef, pork neck, minced pork rice and the grilled hotpot combo โ€” everything was so good. Super fresh ingredients and the sauces were next level, honestly couldnโ€™t stop eating. The only downside for me was the fried meat, which was a bit tough (still tasty, but my jaw got a workout ๐Ÿ˜†). Great vibes, great food. Would 100% come back!

โ— Dec 2025 โ— 4 Stars ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ This Thai restaurant in the alley was good. My friend and I were on a hunt to try new Thai restaurant in the city. Food was good, quite tasty and authentic. I had crispy pork on rice. Gravy was delicious, crispy pork was average but the soup tasted very good too. It was quite busy around lunch time. Price is reasonable. You can get a meal combo with drink for around $20. I'll definitely come back to try other dishes. Thank you for your service.

Delicious Thai food eatery, with all of the seats are outdoor. They have different menus from lunch to dinner. Lunch menus are more casual and practical, whilst the common Thai food like Tom Yum Soup and Som Tum are only for dinner. Price is considered friendly for the city location. It was a bit too long to wait for my order to come out, and not sure why. Other than this, everything else is okay.

One of the best Thai restaurants in Melbourne โ€” Khaosan Lane! โœจ I walked in hungry and walked out spiritually transformed. First of all, their pork bone soup should honestly come with a warning label: โ€œMay cause instant happiness.โ€ Rich, punchy, and the kind of flavour that makes you question every soup youโ€™ve had before. Then thereโ€™s the som tam. Oh. My. Goodness. I ordered it twiceโ€ฆ and yes, I finished both BY MYSELF ๐Ÿคค No regrets. Only pride. The pork belly? Crunchy, fatty, and basically the hero we all deserve. If it were socially acceptable to clap when food arrives, I absolutely would. Will I come back? Of course. Try and stop me. Plus, they have daily promos you definitely donโ€™t want to miss, and the whole vibe feels like youโ€™ve been teleported straight into a Thai night marketโ€”minus the humidity but with all the flavour.

Such a fun experience! We had the Thai-style hot pot โ€” totally felt like eating on the streets of Thailand ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ”ฅ The vibe was amazing, full of energy and flavour. Everything was super tasty and the atmosphere made it even better. Donโ€™t forget to order a beer โ€” it goes perfectly with the hot pot! ๐Ÿบ We enjoyed it so much and canโ€™t wait to come back!
