Found my absolute favourite lunch spot in Australia .. itโs here! Came here on a Wednesday noon and it was busy.. for a reason! The Udon are sooo good and the portions are just generous and beautiful! We ordered cold and hot Udon ๐ and two skewers of Karaage. The place is super authentic and we had to wait 10 min in line but you get the food instantly so basically itโs a super quick and super tasty lunch spot. Canโt wait to come back!
Hifumiya Udon is a well-known udon restaurant in Perth that came highly recommended by a friend โ and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The queue was quite long, but the wait was surprisingly quick and well-managed. What really impressed me was that the udon is freshly made bowl by bowl, which truly enhances the texture and flavour. The noodles were perfectly chewy and comforting. There is a wide variety of tempura and fried items to choose from, all looking fresh and delicious. A fun highlight is the fried udon snacks that you can keep picking up as you like โ such a nice touch! The atmosphere is very lively and energetic, honestly making you feel like youโre dining in Japan rather than Australia. A great spot for authentic, casual Japanese comfort food.
Visiting Perth and came across this udon place thatโs highly rated on Google Maps and decided to give it a try. I was coming in on a lunch break so I knew there would be a wait. I waited 20 mins before ordering which wasnโt so bad. You get to choose your udon soup first, then the rest of the fried items are self- serve before payment. The staff were very cheerful and welcoming, but one wanted me to sit on the corner, sharing a table with 2 people who knew each other, which was kinda awkward and left me confused. I still tried approaching the seat but the aisle was too crowded & for me to pass so I just sat elsewhere. The tofu udon was surprisingly very good. The noodles were firm and freshly made, the broth light and the tofu sweet to balance everything out. Only letdown was the karaage which was tooo salty for me.
Really local street vibes and super popular during lunchtime! Better come before 11:30 am, otherwise youโll see a long queue of office workers lining up from nearby buildings. Itโs a busy little spot โ you order and wait at the counter for your udon to be served. The staff work incredibly fast and efficiently, and they even make sure people donโt occupy seats before their food is ready. I ordered the Signature No.1 Udon with Takoyaki skewer and Teriyaki chicken skewer. The udon soup base was slightly sweet, nicely balanced, and came with toppings like seaweed, spring onion, tofu skin, bonito flakes, and a soft onsen egg. Great value overall โ though personally Iโm not used to having that much grated ginger in the broth. The teriyaki chicken was tender and juicy, just a touch on the salty side but really flavorful. The takoyaki was decent too. The place is always packed โ a hidden Japanese canteen in the laneway, surrounded by a few other Japanese eateries. All the staff are Japanese, and the decor and atmosphere really make you feel like youโve just stepped into Japan for a moment. Definitely coming back to try their cold udon and rice bowls next time!
Hifumiya Udon Noodle House โ Perth this is one the best japanes street food places in perth the taste gets as authentic as it can i know it says the udoon noodle house but the curry s amazing i love th varity of side dishes the prices are amazing and you get much more than your moneys worth it is a quick grab and god sort of place. This is hands down one of the best Japanese street-food spots in Perth. The flavors are as authentic as they come โ it honestly feels like something youโd find in a small alley in Japan. Even though itโs called an โUdon Noodle House,โ the Japanese curry here is absolutely amazing and worth coming back for. I also love the variety of side dishes; everything tastes fresh and well made. Prices are great too โ you get way more than your moneyโs worth, which is rare these days. Itโs the perfect quick-grab kind of place: fast service, great food, and good value. Highly recommend if youโre craving genuine Japanese comfort food without the fuss.
