Absolutely delicious, when you walk in to a restaurant that doesnโt have an empty table you know itโs going to be great. The staff were wonderful and friendly, very professional and although they were packed they were totally under control, my biggest mistake was only ordering one of what I wantedโฆโฆ
Quiet sit down lunch to enjoy some street food and that we hadnโt had since visiting Thailand and was not disappointed. Food was delicious and well portioned. Customer service was quick and friendly. The food came out in a reasonable timeframe, could hear the sounds of it being freshly cooked. 10/10 would recommend and will come back again.
This place food is quite good, done by Thai ppl, quite authentic! Everything was ok until the end where their service was bad, the restaurant pretty empty, only 2 tables whole restaurant, but they just come over keep clearing the plates. Make sure feel so uncomfortable and pressure to leave. While we still have friends who still eating and not yet finish. We do not understand why they do that, even we told them we are not done and felt so pressure to leave. It was abit disappointed where the dinner didnโt end well experience. Really need to improve in customer service and also note the culture or mannerism in Australia.
Gor Gai Thai Food in Ballarat offers authentic Thai cuisine with generous portions and warm service. One of The best duck soups I ever had ๐๐๐. Enjoy dishes like Tom Yum, Pad Thai, and Green Curry in a cozy atmosphere. Open daily from 5pm-10pm, with online ordering and delivery available.
First time trying Gor Gaiโs steamed Thai desserts - oh my god so good. So good! Ballarat, you donโt always disappoint with some bland version of the real thing. No. Some things make it through, like these banana leaf steamed beauties - the kanom sod sai (which are not โcandiesโ as the terrible English translation on the menu would have it, but soft coconut mousse puddings with an inner core of palm sugar, the salty and sweet combination TO DIE FOR) and the banana dumplings - also oddly named - being sticky rice wrapped red beans served with your choice of ice cream but OF COURSE you must get taro ๐ (or maybe thai milk tea, or possibly coconut but NEVER vanilla ice cream ๐ ). I donโt care what stupidly try-hard โhot chocolatesโ there are on offer this July - these two desserts should be ordered all winter, people, all winter. Love! โค๏ธ
