We finally got around to trying the new Fish House Steak and Grill on Parkyn Pde. The food did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious ! The tempura prawns were to die for, and we are fussy because let’s face it, with fresh Mooloolaba prawns on our doorstep you get a bit spoilt. The steak melted away from the fork, it was incredibly tasty and tender. The atmosphere was very Queensland, loved it very indoors outdoors. If I HAD to be fussy and offer feedback for the owner , I would love to see a classic crumbed snapper on the menu - since you have the wholesalers on your doorstep. We ordered the steaks Medium and although mouthwateringly tasty, we did ask for medium and they were on the rarer side - but honestly no complaint from us - it was fabulous. The cocktails were great, wine menu very good and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we will definitely be back. Ps… lovely to see you seating people after 8.30! Such a change for Mooloolaba well done new owners Ps… 🐾 I do wish it was dog friendly in the outdoor area. We used to bring our doggy and they would lay under the table outside when it was Fish on Parkyn … I know I know Council …but Australia needs to be a bit more like Europe and the USA and understand dogs are family

I would like to especially thank Emeline for the outstanding service. All of her recommendations were spot on, and her lovely accent and natural charisma made the experience even more enjoyable. The beef tartare was creamy and perfectly prepared, but without a doubt, the star of the evening was the pavlova — absolutely exceptional.

We recently dined at Fish House on Saturday with eight friends for a special occasion and couldn’t fault the experience. A huge thank you to Aaron for his incredible service, attention to detail, and excellent recommendations across both food and beverages. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. Our friends’ daughter was able to come and go from the playground and happily interact with staff, which made the afternoon even more relaxed and enjoyable. The food was exceptional, and we were even encouraged to take our time enjoying dessert while the team prepared for dinner service — without ever feeling rushed (which is rare these days!). It was a truly lovely afternoon and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you to the whole team, with a special mention again to Aaron.

The steak was on point -char grilled to perfection gooey on the inside just like how a blue steak should be -10 out of 10 there - the sashimi was perfect. The wasabi could’ve been a little bit stronger in flavour less Cheesier. Other than that, perfect 9.5 out of ten. The fish was really good but I found that the sauce itself was pretty salty. Could be less salt, more flavour of fish was needed , but other than that overall the staff are amazing. The wine was impeccable. The port was on point and the paired wine and the port was on point with suggestions. The food was amazing just a couple of minuses but as someone who loves food and has been in the industry, overall a 9/10.

We recently enjoyed the stunning Land Or Sea Tasting Menu (we tried one of each set), and every dish was absolutely outstanding. The menu was beautifully balanced - fresh, delicate flavours with just the right touch of creativity and presentation. Each course flowed seamlessly into the next, showcasing the chef’s skill and attention to detail. The anticipation for the main dish was so high that I forgot to take a photo of the main dish! The buttery smooth toothfish was the highlight for both of us. Our server, Aaron, was fantastic from start to finish. His timing, professionalism, and knowledge of the menu made the evening even more enjoyable. He anticipated our needs without ever being intrusive, and his friendly manner really elevated the overall experience. From the food to the service, everything was flawless. A memorable dining experience that we’ll definitely be returning for - highly recommend!
