I’m a Mexican visiting from Chicago, I came to El Santo because my fiancée thought it’d be fun for me to critique Geelong’s Mexican restaurants. After a first disappointing location, I came to El Santo and immediately felt the vibes of a taqueria. Staff is always friendly and you can tell they love their job! I was a bit cautious about the type of food offered but that’s only because the tacos I grew up eating weren’t the exact same but I tried their pumpkin tacos and Quesa Birria Tacos and for a Mexican restaurants that’s across the world from its home country, it’s extremely delicious! Every time I visit Geelong, the first thing I do is go to El Santo because it’s unique but also similar to the tacos I eat. The thing I appreciate the most is that it embraces Mexican culture whereas other Mexican restaurants in the area appropriate the culture of make it very stereotypical. Having Latino workers there helps the restaurant keep its authenticity. El Santos is simply the best Mexican restaurant in Geelong by a long shot. It’s Mexican approved!

The most authentic aguachile I had tried in Australia! The margarita was also fantastic and the staff were super friendly and nice. You get such a good value for the price! Really recommend this place👏🏼

Was here for my nieces 18th, they went out of their way to make her feel special. Fabulous food, excellent service and awesome Strawberry Margarita. Will definitely be back.

We’ve been coming to el santo for years now. It’s usually on our weekly rotation of takeaway but we love to dine in when we’re in the city. The one thing we love most is the team 🙌✨🫰 always so warm and welcoming, kind and accommodating. They have SO many vegan options, but lots of meat too- so both my partner and I both can enjoy dinner together. Tonight we had tacos 🌮 one mushroom and one cauliflower ( made VG ), totopos with guacamole and salsa, I have the vegan pumpkin burrito 🌯 and my partner had the chicken Californian burrito ( with chippies ). Quality, consistent and flavourful. Our favourite Mexican in Geelong ✨🫰 11/10 recommend.

It's one of the few places in Australia where you can get true authentic Mexican food. It was an amazing experience I'm very glad I found this place and not only that, the service is out of this world especially the guy in the bar Luis, damn he's a good hospitality manager. Thanks for the amazing food and the outstanding service! Definitely coming back!
