I ordered the chicken fried rice for Take away, the taste and the quantity was fabulous. Enjoyed the food๐ will order soon.
Absolutely incredible find! This little hole-in-the-wall Nepalese restaurant in Toowoomba is a true hidden gem. We ordered the Durbar goat curry, butter chicken, plain naan, garlic naan and plain rice โ and every single dish was outstanding. The goat curry was rich, deeply flavoured and perfectly cooked, but the real showstopper was the butter chicken. I can honestly say I have never tasted a butter chicken that good โ perfectly balanced, incredibly creamy, and full of flavour without being overpowering. The naan was fresh and delicious (especially the garlic naan), and everything paired beautifully with the rice. On top of the amazing food, the server was genuinely friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome without hovering. Overall, an excellent experience from start to finish. Exceptional food, warm service, and the kind of place you want to tell everyone about โ weโll absolutely be back anytime we're in town.
My partner and I donโt venture out much when it comes to different cuisines. But we took a risk with Dunbar ! Let me tell you it was a great risk. You get what you pay for, reasonably priced. Momos were delicious packed with flavour, the stir fry was just perfect really not drenched in sauce just simple and delicious. The chicken throughout was very well seasoned. We also ordered the friend rice. I wonโt lie we were a little scared, being very basic eaters, but eating it was a flavour bomb ! I would recommend this place if youโre wanting to try something different, donโt miss out on the momos though you have to try them !
I ordered Chicken 65 but got completely different item. It was just a boneless chicken sauteed on a sauce like a chicken tikka. No other ingredients were added. Completely disappointed from their takeway service.
We had such a really great experience at Durbar Cafe & Restaurant! We ordered chicken wings, rice, buttered chicken momo, samosa chaat, and paneer tikka masala, and everything was flavorful, perfectly cooked and taste like freshly made. Shout out to the 2 chefs! It was raining and chilly, they put hot chai on the menu for that night. It was the best chai I have!! A special mention to Shrezana (I hope I got her name right!) โ she was so kind, sweet, and attentive, always checking in to make sure we were enjoying our food or if we need anything. Her warm service made the experience even better. Definitely recommend this place for anyone craving delicious food and cozy vibes. I won't mind driving from Brisbane to dine here again.
