Have heard about Choks in passing from locals in town + it's laksa league so the perfect excuse to try! The broth is delicious!! Just wish there was more or it but the combination of meat were yum. The price unfortunately doesn't match the dish. For $28 it's not a value for money with the small bowl it is served in. It's definitely something worth trying however I have had better in Darwin for the overall price and portion size 👍

As a life Laksa enthusiast I’ve eaten thousands of Laksas all over Australia and Chok’s reputation is well deserved. Without a doubt one of the best in Australia - the broth if not the best. The staff are super friendly and the biggest crime here is Chok’s not having a standalone restaurant so I could get one of their award winning Laksas for dinner. You will not be disappointed!

We had heard all the rave reviews but only had one shot to taste Chok’s laksa for ourselves - breakfast at 9am before our flight back to Sydney. Unfortunately, opening time had changed to 10… Thankfully the look of sadness on our faces was enough to convince Chok to whip up a few laksas for us. A perfect size serving for breakfast, with a rich, flavourful soup and a sufficient hit of chilli to wake up your senses. The chicken was tender and tasty and the two types of noodle perfectly cooked. The atmosphere is just a mall, but gems are often found in rough surroundings. Thanks for a great laksa breakfast, Chok!

Small little restaurant in the middle of a food court. The laksa was full of flavour and unique. The thick noodles and the soup worked really well together. The seafood laksa is a must try!

Chok's Place is located inside The Galleria in Darwin's Smith Street Mall. It's only open for lunch as it's a food outlet in air-conditioned food court. Please don't let that put you off. We had been advised this was a great place for a good laksa in Darwin, and we were not let down. We ordered the Chicken Laksa and absolutely loved it. It was a very generous portion and full of so much flavour. Up there with one of the best laksa's we have tasted. We enjoyed our meal in the seating area with all the CBD office workers enjoying their lunch. A great spot to stop, eat and enjoy in the cool.
