Customer service was beautiful and accommodating. Though, I wish they had more space for dine-in as it’s limited to 6 people without having to invade other strangers personal space. Still, it was a nice place to have a snack. However, my only negative take is the portion size of their sausage that’s priced at $5.95. It was delicious but it wasn’t worth that price. I giggled at how cute it was. If I knew it was that small then I wouldn’t have gotten it in the first place. Overall, everything else was yummy and would go back again except I wouldn’t buy the sausage anymore. 😆

Best fried chicken in town. Run by Taiwanese who know how to do it best. The fried chicken breast is so juicy and crispy on the outside. The fried chicken is also gluten free! The smell is irresistible. I would say on par if not better than our experience in Taiwan night markets. Also extremely well priced. $19 for a large Taiwanese fried chicken and large drink of your choice. Don’t hesitate to visit.

This was a fantastic spot for some unique Taiwanese fried chicken and sides. If you're tired of the usual KFC-style fried chicken and want to try something different, this place is definitely worth checking out—their chicken has a distinct flavor and texture that sets it apart. We started with their signature chicken pops classic, which were incredibly juicy and massive in size—each piece felt like a hearty bite. One thing I loved is the variety of seasoning options; you can mix and match more than two to customise your order. Pro tip: Make sure to add chicken salt, as the chicken can taste a bit plain without it. It really elevates the flavor without overpowering the natural juiciness. The taro puffs were a pleasant surprise—they had an authentic, rich taro flavor that wasn't overly sweet or artificial. We also tried the Taiwanese sausage, and wow, it was so delicious and savory that I was tempted to buy a pack of 10 to take home! To wash it all down, we went for the brown sugar milk tea, which was above average with a natural taste that didn't come across as fake or syrupy. Overall, Chick Pop offers great value and fresh twists on fried chicken and Taiwanese classics. If you're in the Newtown area, give it a go—you won't be disappointed! Note: I travelled Taiwan and had authentic Taiwanese fried chicken before. 😉

Really delicious , drinks and food were ready quickly. Cute vibe indoor with a couple of seats to wait at. The chick pops are massive btw, like larger than your hand, super delicious

This is a traditional Taiwanese hometown flavor—super delicious! We almost ordered one of everything in one go, and every item tasted amazing. It’s nearly identical to the salt and pepper chicken stands you’d find on a street corner in Taiwan—so tasty! The chicken is juicy, the coating is crispy, and everything arrived piping hot and freshly fried. The best part is, I couldn’t even finish a regular chicken steak on my own (I’m a girl), so I saved half to eat tomorrow. I can’t even imagine how big the jumbo chicken steak must be! 🤣 It was my first time trying it, and I already got a stamp card that’s just one stamp away from being full. Highly recommended! The staff were super friendly too. If you don’t want to wait, you can order online in advance. Next time I have to try the fried tempura! 🥺
