"All things must change" as they say, but it's still disappointing when a longtime favourite shifts so noticeably. We've been coming here regularly for years and always ordered our usual favourite. Visited today (early February 2026) and right away saw the menu had been revamped. When we placed our familiar orders, I noticed a slight hesitation from the waitress—almost like she knew what was coming. The food arrived and unfortunately wasn't nearly as good as before. Flavours were muted, execution felt off, and it just didn't hit the same high notes we've loved in the past. Mid-meal, I turned to my partner and said, 'Something has really changed.' The waitresses were wonderful—attentive, kind, and clearly giving their all. We even mentioned to them that things felt different, and they handled it gracefully. It became clear this stems from new owners and a new menu/kitchen direction. The staff seem aware the dishes aren't measuring up to the old standard but obviously have no control over recipes or ingredients. It's a shame after so many consistently great experiences under the previous team. The service remains a highlight, so we'd love to see the new owners get things dialled back in. For now, if you're a returning customer expecting the classics, you might want to check recent reviews or expect some change. Hoping they find their stride soon—we'd happily return if quality returns to what it was."

I can not recommend this place more. The inside is tidy, clean, and inviting. The staff are fantastic, friendly, and welcoming. The food is incredible! I came for lunch one day and enjoyed it so much I had to come back the following day for breakfast. Their coffee is up there with some of the best I've ever had. I will definitely be back here and highly suggest everyone comes here at least once. (Edited to add photos)

Fantastic local gem with wonderful food and even better service. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening, next time we'll save some room for dessert!

We booked a table for the first time at Ambiance Ristorante in Unanderra on a Wednesday night with our three kids in tow and were absolutely blown away. Not only is the food incredible, but they also offer kids eat free midweek and $9 wines by the glass for adults – an unexpected and very welcome surprise! The restaurant is tucked away at the end of a small strip of eateries and while it’s modest in size, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. What really stood out were the kids meals – far from the usual afterthought. Our little ankle biters were served huge (and we mean massive) portions of pasta, pizza, and parmigiana that could rival adult meals at most places. They loved every bite. The adult dishes were equally impressive, with generous servings and top-quality, fresh ingredients that really shine through. Everything was beautifully cooked and bursting with flavour – truly a step above. If you’re after great food, excellent value, and a place that caters to the whole family, Ambiance Ristorante is absolutely worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back!

Wow what a wonderful dinner tonight, services are excellent as always. We haven’t been here last 4 months and the new dishes just stunning. My partner and l shared Mozzarella stick and wow such a generous size and delicious. The main duck breast risotto are heavenly tasty, duck so juicy and the risotto so light but yummy. My seafood marinara just fresh and absolutely delicious. Staffs are so friendly and lovely. Can’t wait to go back and try difference dishes 👍👍👍👍
